Contest Guidelines:
It's time for the annual ChristyFest™ calendar contest! This calendar is created by the Christy community and pays homage to the Smokies and to Christy. It is a full-size 12 month calendar on premium card stock.
The focus of this calendar is the flora, fauna, and sights of Townsend, TN and the Smoky Mountains region. The types of images best suited to this calendar would be Great Smoky Mountain Landscapes, photographs of Townsend and the area [taken during CF or another time you may have been there], Del Rio photos, plants and animals found in the Townsend/Smoky Mountain region, unusual images you may have taken, seasonal images taken in Townsend and/or the Smoky Mountains and so on! Please make sure you read the rules below for more information.
Prizes:
Grand Prize: The image with the most votes will become the calendar's cover as well as a month within the calendar. They will receive a free calendar and grand prize.
Monthly winners: The winner of each month will receive a discount on their first calendar purchase as well as a prize. It is possible to have more than one image voted into the calendar [max of two per person] however, only one prize will be awarded per person.
All winners will be given full credit with their name in the calendar.
Deadlines:
Submissions: November 11 - November 25 [9pm EST]
Voting: November 27 - December 4
Ordering Deadline: December 16
Rules of the Contest:
Photographs only, no artwork.
Images must be genuine. DO NOT Photoshop your image. Cropping of photos is permitted but must meet Image Requirements [below].
Images must be previously unpublished or copyrighted. If, for example, you shared them via your photo album, this is not considered professionally published and all such photographs are still eligible for the contest.
You may not submit images which have been submitted to previous calendar contests even if they did not win.
Submissions are anonymous. Do not publicly promote your image.
You may submit up to six [6] entries, however only a maximum of two [2] images per person may be placed in the calendar.
Images MUST be your property. If you submit an image you claim is yours but belongs to another or is otherwise copyrighted ALL of your submissions will be immediately disqualified and you may be barred from future contests.
Photograph may not contain people or images of privately owned homes. Set photos are permitted.
The ChristyFest™ team reserves the right to decline any submission. If this occurs you will be notified and may be permitted to resubmit a different image in its place.
Image requirements:
Digital photographs only. You must submit the original to the contest.
Images must be at least 1665 x 1325 pixels
Images MUST be in landscape format [image must be wider than it is tall].
Images must be in the following format: jpg, bmp, or tiff
Scanned photographs are not eligible.
All submissions are subject to initial examination before being posted to the website to ensure that all images are family friendly and meet the guidelines of the contest. We will do our best to notify you if your image is below requirements for whatever reason.
